Lately there has been no shortage of fun new restaurants opening in our area. One of my favorites has been MBAR, in Mystic. What's not to love about an old run down gas station turned super chic coffee and wine bar? I stopped in over the weekend for a quick fix of caffeine.

But seriously! How cute is this latte? My friend and I camped out at the large wooden communal table in the center of the bar and sipped several of these delicious drinks while we caught up on her European adventures.

This loungey area was so cute! The blue velvet couch is placed right near the old garage doors. On a nice day the doors are wide open for that indoor/outdoor feel. Also, how creative was it to reuse the gas price numbers as decor?! I never would have thought of that and it's such a fun detail that pays homage to the history of the building.

On top of serving some great coffee and pastries in the morning, MBAR switches up the menu to be tapas style for dinner while serving wines some yummy local wines.

If you're in Mystic, CT MBAR is for sure a place you must visit!
